The Alumnae Association of South Calcutta Girls College named PRAYAS has taken keen interest in the welfare of the College and its development. It is registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961.

The Alumnae Association of our College, 'Prayas' conducts various programmes throughout the year. On 9th September 2019, 'Prayas', in collaboration with the Department of Botany, arranged a One-day Seminar on the topic,'Pesticide: A Hidden Menace'. The speaker of the Seminar is an alumna of our College, Dr. Saswati Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor (WBES)
