The Annual Cultural function, Social, held on 26th February 2020, was a wonderful event.This is a much awaited platform for the students through which they manifest their creativity and talents, in various events such as singing, dancing, recitation, yoga, drama etc. Members of the Cultural Committee play an important role of conceptualising the programme and preparing the students in their specific fields. All the retired teaching and non-teaching staff are invited to the programme.

Our respected Principal, Dr. Aparna De, read the annual report and presided over the prize-giving ceremony with our respected GB member, Prof. Maitrayee Bhattacharjee. Prizes were awared to passing out students who had obtained the first position in their respective subjects in the final examination held in 2019 as well as to those who had excelled in various competitions oaagnised by departments and clubs.

This was followed by a very enjoyable cultural programme in which students performed popular songs of the yester years (Swarnajuger Bangla Gaan), a dance performance on the theme Nritye Nazrul Baran, a yoga dance recital and two plays.

Along with academic excellence, emphasis is given to all round development of the students through such activities.
