OVERVIEW
Our department was introduced in 1932 with the establishment of the college. At the very beginning, we used to teach B.A. General. Later on in 2008, Honours course was introduced. We possess a rich library with rare old books. Our students are gentle in behavior as the result of traditional study. We are three teachers in this department. Two among us are Associate Professors and one is CWTT.

OUTCOME
We feel that Sanskrit is losing its charm in this age of technology, so we try to create awareness about this which in turn will bring back the popularity of the subject among the students. We arranged film-shows, e.g. Adi Shankaracharya, Shreemad Bhagavadgita, Discovery of India.
