Welcome! The college was established in September 1932 as the third oldest girls college in West Bengal. The institution is bound to provide the best possible environment with hostel facilities. The college has focused on providing quality education with emphasis on all round development of its students. Our community involvement and a commitment to community services instill a passion for learning with an additional avenue for personal growth in our students. We try to follow the words of Albert Einstein The value of college education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think. We mould our students to be self-confident to face the radical global changes with patience and courage to emerge as the worthy citizens keeping the institutional flag flying high. We hope to build up a harmonious and equitable society which upholds the inalienable human rights and dignity of all women.

I am extremely glad to share that the college has been accredited by the NAAC with A Grade on April 2023. This will certainly encourage us to undertake new and innovative activities for the benefit of our students.

As we steer towards each academic year with proactive, altruistic management and a very supportive hardworking team of teaching and non-teaching staff, I am sure of reaching higher peaks of academic excellence with sincerity, dedication and commitment.
